Love the look of high heels but can't stand the pain?

Mid/High heel shoes cause the wearer to shift more weight to the ball of their feet. I need to wear heels for several hours a day sometimes, and i keep getting painful blisters. What do i do to prevent the pain or at least, reduce it?

YOU should be GELLIN'!

Arch Pain / Heel Pain

DESCRIPTION

Over-pronation, or flat feet, is a common biomechanical, problem that occurs in the walking process when a person's arch collapses upon weight bearing. This motion can cause extreme stress or inflammation on the plantar fascia, possibly causing severe discomfort and leading to other foot problems. Without properly supported arches, even walking can pull the body out of alignment and cause painful stress, strain, and fatigue of the lower extremities.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE IT

Pain or fatigue in your arch, heel, knee, leg, or lower back.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE IT

Pain that radiates from the back of the heel to the front, which causes a constant ache in the mid-heel. Symptoms often appear gradually and with low intensity. Heel pain is usually more severe after running and in the morning after getting out of bed.

Reply:I've also started experiencing foot pain and understand the need to wear heels but be comfortable at the same time. I have found the gel inserts help to some degree. However, I also I plan to look into Cole Haan heels with Nike Air technology and Taryn Rose heels, which were designed by a foot doctor.
Reply:how about get a size bigger and put padding in it or how about get new ones that are more comfortable hehe think of that
Reply:I NEVER wear heals. Heels were invented by a man, a man who didn't care that it would give women back problems and other pain as long as it looks good.
Reply:You havent got to wear high heels, stuff it, you want to get comfy shoes, dont be daft. (and im not a fuddy duddy either)
Reply:You can get jelly pads for the balls of your feet, they really do help. search the net for party shoes high heel pads.
Reply:I always wear heels and only certain ones hurt. You can find a good comfortable heel, it's just a matter of finding it... Target has the jelly soles for heels. I would suggest buying some %26amp; it may help you. I love Steve Madden brand heels, they are a little more pricey but it is a great shoe.

Hope this helps! :)
