How can I stop walking so hard on my shoes. My heels are worn out after 2-3 months. How can I walk better?

The heels on my shoes looks as though a dog has eaten it. The metal comes out only after a few months of wearing the shoes. Help me walk like a lady!

You may be placing too much weight on your heels. Not that you are heavy but when wearing heels you need to put more weight on the ball of your foot, almost as if the heel does not exist. Try walking on tip-toes around the house, you may get a better idea. The heel is more for support and weight should be distributed approximately more to the front depending on the heel height. Replacement heel tips can be cheap so be sure to replace before you ruin the stem of the heel.
Reply:Get Dr. Scholls. Those jelly like heel comforts. :) Works like a charm. You can get them at like, Kohls, JC Penneys etc. in the shoe department. Or just any shoe store. Or go to the Pediatrist and get special shoes. :)
Reply:Not to be an A@#, but you may need to lose a few pounds
Reply:It's possible that you may have to have the caps on your heels replaced more often. Find a shoe repair person (cobbler). When you have nice shoes, you are more careful when you walk in them.

Also notice where you walk that might cause your heels to get damaged. For example, I live near Downtown Boston and I wear high heels and the brick sidewalks have grooves in between and if I don't tip toe around the bricks that have gaps, the leather on my heels will get ripped up.

I take my shoes/boots to the cobbler at the first sign of any slight damage. That way, it won't be as expensive as buying a new pair of shoes.
