I have a pair of 3 inch heels I really like the shoe but would like to get the heel cut down about a half inch. Would this ruin the shoe?

Yes, because the heel and the foot of the shoe are in proportion to eachother. You%26#039;d fall backwards trying to walk in them.
If its hard to walk in them, wear them around the house to get practice.
